Host/Cashier job description

REPORTS TO: Restaurant Manager

SUMMARY: Primary responsibilities is being friendly & courteous to customers, strategic in maximizing customer seating while maintaining customer satisfaction. Position also requires accurate cash handling & closing.


  • Must be at least 18 years or older
  • Food & Beverage experience is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time & repetitive hand/wrist motions


  • Understands the full menu including the Beverage Menu
  • Upholds Sanitary & Cleanliness practices for food handling & cleanliness throughout the restaurant


  • Maintains a neat & clean appearance
  • Possess a strong work ethic
  • Practices honesty & integrity at all times
  • Communication with team members, other departments, & leadership
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
  • Respects & maintains a good working relationship with other team members, departments, & leaders
  • Stays productive at all times throughout the shift
  • Stays calm & maintain composure under high stress environments


  • Effectively communicates with customers
  • Practices telephone etiquette at all times
